Government and private support for HIV-
"In the early days of HIV-
Jean Garcon the new Executive Director has broaden the Scope of Central Florida Life Resources services to include not only HIV/AIDS individuals, but also all people facing a life threatening illness.
Central Florida Life Resources has no paid employees, and is solely run by volunteers.
Florida has changed. Sure, it still affects gays, but also straight, the elderly,
young single and all races. There are young children, grandmothers and people of
all walks of life in Central Florida infected or affected by HIV-
According to Kathryn Johnson "We need all the help we can muster up, not only financially, but with both volunteers and other resource donations. We'll make nearly any idea work. An example: a few weeks ago a local hairdresser provided free haircuts through Life Resources in our safe, comfortable “home” facility for some of those affected.”
